After the completion of the simulator, human subjects would be tested and asked to evaluate various warning systems that they experienced during their test runs. As part of the task, a fully interactive, fixed base driving simulator was to be developed and equipped with a model of a collision avoidance system. The primary objective of this task was to conduct simulation studies that would allow us to evaluate the warning interfaces using a driving simulator located at the HRL Laboratories, LLC (HRL), in Malibu California.
